Applicants should be capable of lifting and moving, in some cases, up to/exceeding 200lbs.
Job Description Responsible for the care, removal and transport of human remains in accordance with all state, local and company policies and procedures.
More specifically, the duties and the responsibilities of the Decedent Removal Technician include, but are not limited to, the following:
Current shifts available are nights and weekends.
Receive calls from Dispatch- Respond to scene within 90 minutes efficiently w/ notifications of any delays.
Perform removal of the deceased from hospital, nursing home, home, or residence, to transport to Personal Care Center, prep rooms, embalming facilities, mortuaries, or funeral homes.
Maintains and ensures removal vehicle is clean inside and out and is properly maintained.
Conduct themselves in a professional, responsible manner appropriate for care of the deceased according to company expectations.
Complete training for use of company vehicles and proper etiquette for addressing the family members of the deceased.
Responsibly use company vehicles for job related assignments.
It is never acceptable for company vehicles to be used for personal use, unless approved by the owner.
Transport deceased to assigned location.
Place deceased in designated area, place correct tags on deceased.
Complete all paperwork accordingly and accurately.
Must be willing to go above and beyond to care for the deceased, families, and funeral staff.
Work attire All employees are to maintain a clean and professional appearance always.
We wear professional business attire, you're expected to wear your suit jacket and tie (for men) on every call, unless otherwise directed.
Clothing must be clean, wrinkle free, and free of lint.
Dress shoes and a belt are required.
Good personal hygiene is extremely necessary.
Hair needs to be clean, and neatly combed/styled.
If you have facial hair, make sure it is neatly groomed.
Previous Experience in Funeral Service industry preferred, but not required.
High school Diploma or Equivalent Preferred Clean Driving record necessary, a DMV printout will be required prior to any employment offer.
