Product Engineering Manager Job purpose Luxfer Gas Cylinders is the world's largest manufacturer of high-pressure aluminum and composite gas cylinders for a wide and growing variety of applications - such as life support, alternative fuel, medical, industrial, beverage, fire extinguishers, aerospace, inflation, scuba and performance racing.

Luxfer Riverside is a wholly owned entity of Luxfer Gas Cylinders, a brand of the Luxfer Group.
Luxfer Riverside designs and manufactures Type 3 and Type 4 pressure vessels for the high-pressure containment of gases such as natural gas, hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen.
Duties and responsibilities This job posting is for a full-time, hourly, Product Development Technician to join Luxfer Riverside's Product Development Engineering Team.
The responsibilities of the applicant may include but are not limited to:
Preparation, execution, documentation and cleanup of prototype and batch qualification tests conducted on site (burst testing, cycle testing, drop testing, etc.
) Programming of CNC controlled machines (filament winders, machining centers, spinning machines, etc.
) Production of prototype cylinders using CNC controlled machines Project management of several simultaneous test programs (scheduling of testing, coordinating with third party test labs, etc.
) Production assistance with specialized tasks on occasion Material testing (tensile testing of aluminum and composite materials, 3-point bend testing) and test documentation Instrumenting test samples and operation of data acquisition equipment Troubleshooting of manufacturing processes/manufacturing process development Technical report writing Qualifications Experience and Education:
2-4 years relevant experience Good written and verbal English communication skills Skills and Knowledge:
Experience with CNC machines/controls and basic G-code an asset Project management experience an asset Familiarity with mechanical design practices and pressure vessels standards and regulations an asset Familiarity with general programming languages and concepts Familiarity with 3D Modeling/CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks etc.
Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition basics an asset Experience using Microsoft Office Ability to work in both a team environment and independently to accomplish tasks Working conditions This position will be based in Riverside, CA Occasional overtime and evening work may be required Physical requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
