In this role, you will handle all service cash and credit card receipts as well as helping our customers with their Loaner Car Vehicles.
In this position, you must be polished and professional at all times.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain outstanding customer service is a must.
Previous cashier or money handling experience is a plus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Provides a warm and friendly professional greeting to each and every client at all times.
Computes customer bills.
Receives cash, checks and credit card payments from customers; records amount received.
Makes change and issues receipts to customers.
Provides cash refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise.
Operates cash register.
Reconciles cash drawer daily.
Refers customers who have questions about the work performed, additional maintenance or repairs, etc.
to the service advisor or other appropriate individual.
Handles customer complaints with integrity and poise and, when necessary, refers dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution.
Maintains and files repair orders, parts invoices, rental forms; lists missing documents.
Closes all open invoices.
Reconciles gas purchase statements.
Assists service and parts department with telephone coverage.
Provides clerical and secretarial assistance to parts and service departments.
Works with department manager to keep abreast of new products and services offered, their features and value, and any changes in price.
Understanding and utilization of the Dealerware loaner car software program and reporting features.
Contracts clients into loaner fleet vehicles utilizing the iPad/desktop and Dealerware software as per company policy and process.
A loaner car contract must be opened on any loaner unit provide to our clients.
Clearly explains loaner car policies to clients to ensure understanding and compliance.
Identifying and confirming requirements for contacting are presented and valid, including current valid driver license and proof of current valid vehicle insurance policy.
Accurate entry of vehicle mileage in/out at all times.
Processing Loaner car return check in, with thorough inspection of returned vehicle to identify any possible damage.
Contracts must be closed upon return.
Responsible to maintain fleet cleanliness daily to ensure units are prepared prior to client arrival.
Responsible to ensure service maintenance, is updated and vehicles are safe.
Responsible to add/remove loaner units to/from the fleet within the Dealerware software program, as well as manage and secure vehicle keys within the key safe.
Manages fleet on a daily basis with each advisor to ensure availability of units for next day appointments.
Communicates regularly with BDC and Management regarding loaner car counts to meet reservation needs.
Provides daily reporting to management regarding loaner length of use as well as aged units in fleet.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Must have a valid Driver's License with a clean, insurable, driving record.
