7K - $63K a year 6 days ago 6 days ago 6 days ago The County of Riverside's Transportation Department has an opening for an Executive Assistant IV At-Will and is seeking candidates who possess strong communication and writing skills, are detail-oriented, great at multi-tasking, and who have outstanding clerical experience.
The incumbent will be responsible for providing a variety of secretarial and complex clerical duties to the Director and Deputy Directors of the Department, in addition to special assignments as assigned.
The Executive Assistant IV At-Will will also be responsible for conducting special administrative and research studies affecting agency/department operations, and acting as coordinator/liaison between agency/department heads and the Board of Supervisors, Chief Executive Officer, various commissions and committees, as well as public and private entities.
Additionally, the incumbent must be being able to collaborate and partner with administrative assistants within the department to ensure excellent customer service.
Other duties include managing calendars and appointments, assisting with purchases for department needs, general clerical duties, making travel arrangements for manager and staff, routing phone calls to appropriate parties, running queries and preparing reports for department head.
Competitive experience for this position includes advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.
) and experience assisting department heads such as the Board of Supervisors, Directors, or Deputy Directors.
This class has been designated At-Will in accordance with the provisions provided under Article 6, Section 601E (8) of the County Management Resolution and serves at the pleasure of the County Executive Officer.
Meet the Team! The Transportation Department is responsible for planning, designing, funding, building, operating and maintaining all roads, bridges, and transportation facilities within the unincorporated County territory.
