What You Will Be Doing As the Director of Patient Care Services, you will play a pivotal role in supervising home health services and ensuring the delivery of safe and high-quality care to our patients.
As a DOPCS Registered Nurse (RN), you will oversee skilled nursing and therapeutic services, develop care plans, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
Your expertise and leadership will contribute to the success of our organization and the well-being of our patients.
In this role, you will participate in developing standards to ensure safe and effective care delivery, collaborate with the Administrator to establish staffing patterns, evaluate and counsel service personnel, and develop orientation programs for new employees.
You will be responsible for maintaining policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements, coordinating interdisciplinary team services, and promoting a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Additionally, you will actively engage in performance improvement initiatives and serve as a resource person to the team.
Qualifications currently licensed to practice as an RN in the state of practice Three to five years of experience in healthcare (homecare experience preferred) Two years in a supervisory position (preferred) Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems and computerized systems in general Familiarity with community health principles and practices Ability to supervise, guide, and develop service personnel Intermediate to expert PC and typing skills, including Microsoft Office Systems Ability to exercise independent judgment and work well with individuals Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle high levels of stress Knowledge of Medicare/Medi-Cal rules and regulations related to home health services The above statements are only meant to be a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job.
