You'll stay busy but its easy and enjoyable! In short:
My dad passed away suddenly in May 2023.
My mom is 91.
Its only her and me now.
I have 3 businesses, teach metaphysical courses and am a working writer.
But I came immediately back, moved in with mom and am picking up where my dad left off.
Its kind of a huge micro mansion with lots of gardens.
Inside is magnificent and decorated over the years by my mom.
Mom has a bad back but other than that is brilliant, cooks everyday and still decorates.
My responsibility is property manager and I need assistance with that.
We have one Home Helper already but I have known for months that I need a 2nd person.
THEN our current helper caught the damn flu a few days ago, and I realized we're in crisis.
I should have had a 2nd person already but I'm late.
MAYDAY!! Tasks on a regular day can include:
watering the gardens and maybe plucking a few dandelions! Maybe taking my mom to errands or appointments! Hair, nails - a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!! :
) There are also some daily things that happen here, like stocking the pantry and frige with waters and other goodies needed daily.
See, its simple.
Nobody with Alzheimer or critical illnesses.
Just a super bad back and she'll use a heating pad or pop a Tylenol.
But thats it! DUTIES may also include light administrative duties:
Please know basics about computers (PC), word, excel and outlook.
Once in a while you'll be asked to research something Home Helper = Everything Assistant! :
) This way you wont get bored! lol This IS a political house! Needja to know mom LOVES some MSNBC, CNN with a little HGTV on the side!! Lol! But mostly, through out the day its the news and she is deeply concerned with the state of the world; human rights in America and abroad and she sometimes needs to yell at the TV! Feel free to join in! We love everyone but Liberals are especially welcomed here! :
