Overview:
Functions as a member of patient care team.
Responsible for duties related to the clerical/operational functions of the nursing unit.
Functions as a member of patient care team under the supervision and direction of a licensed nurse in providing competent care to patients, according to their individual needs.
Responsibilities:
Performs basic patient care directed at the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients.
All documentation must be accurate, complete and legible.
All hospital-required reports (i.
e.
MIDAS), must be completed within the shift of occurrence.
Documentation - Accurately documents patient activities and assigned interventions (e.
g.
, vital signs, weights, I&O).
Documentation reflects time of occurrence.
Qualifications:
Current CPR certification.
CNA certification preferred.
MAB Certification required.
High Medical terminology and transcription skills.
Filing skills.
High school Diploma or equivalent.
Preferably, a minimum of one-year acute care hospital experience.
Nursing assistant competency, Good organizational and communication skills.
Clear, legible penmanship.
Computer knowledgeable.
