Planning, developing and executing distribution center engineering and cost reduction projects.
Using Lean methodology to create process improvement projects for the distribution center;
Managing the process improvement projects through to completion;
Looking for every opportunity to simplify all DC processes;
Providing cross functional project support by partnering with Network Strategy, DC Operations, and Training;
Providing Engineering and Maintenance support and direction to the DC;
Preparing, maintaining and updating all new engineering documentation relating to new processes implemented.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline; MBA preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
6
years of Process Improvement / Industrial Engineering;
Must have Lean experience in a distribution center environment, Black Belt preferred;
Strong operations knowledge of distribution and related processes;
Leadership experience including the ability to manage a team of IE's and drive value added change;
Working knowledge of time study, work measurement methods, engineering economy, material handling design and warehouse management systems;
CAD and Spanish speaking abilities are a plus;
The ability to travel 25-50% of the time.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
