Technical Director, School of Nursing

The role of the Technical Director to the School of Nursing Learning Resource Center (LRC) is to provide direct support for the technical function, safety and quality of educational technology within the LRC under the direction of the Director and/or Assistant Director of the LRC and by performing the following duties:
Operates computer hardware and audio-video recording systems
Models and supports the effective integration of technology in the classroom.
Assesses desktop and laptop computers needs in the School of Nursing and related hardware and software for faculty and staff use
Installs new hardware for faculty and staff as needed
Develops, maintains and executes check out system for loaner technology.
Prepares outdated hardware for transfer back to Campus IT.
Performs operational checks on equipment; diagnoses, trouble shoots and repairs malfunctioning equipment consulting with the University and vendor technical support as necessary.
Creates and sustains a database of technical inventory.
Develops operational manual of all educational technologies including simulators.
Receives, assembles and tests all newly purchased technology or hardware.
Oversees digital media in the SON while maintaining the technical media and licensing for the reference library.
Maintains awareness of new trends and development in educational technologies.
Identifies and implements solutions to problems related to simulation equipment, computer hardware and software.
Repairs and maintains equipment as required or initiates repairs for equipment under warranty
Communicates with Director and/or Assistant Director of LRC regarding maintenance, repairs or updates and simulation technology changes.
Communicates both technical and non-technical matters effectively in person and in writing with a diverse population.
Acquires and maintains skills and knowledge related to existing and newly acquired technologies.
Assists in maintaining reference materials for simulation equipment and related audio-visual and computer hardware and software.
Assists in maintaining an accurate inventory of hardware and software.
Trains faculty on operation of educational technology as needed.
Assists in the development of a Quick-Guide reference aids for faculty.
Implements and oversees computer networks suitable for the SON.
Attends campus wide IT technician meetings.
Recommends and implements changes in work processes to improve quality-of-service to faculty and students related to educational technologies.
Contributes effectively to a positive work environment that demonstrates and supports a team-centered environment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Assist with simulation technology as needed.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
