SAP Basis System Administrator, Senior 6204

Our Client located in Riverside, CA needs a Sr. SAP BASIS System Administrator for a Full Time position.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Manages servers, storage, operating systems and applications to ensure availability, recoverability, performance, integrity and supportability through production support and maintenance of existing systems and development and implementation of systems enhancements and related functions in order to attain the highest level of service in the most cost effective manner. Has strong SAP experience and performs a variety of Information Technology responsibilities in Corporate and Remote Data Centers.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES (End Results Expected):
Has secondary system management responsibility to develop, establish and implement procedures and standards for system security administration, quality assurance, troubleshooting and SAP disaster recovery planning.
Install new or rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, storage, patches, e.g. in accordance with standards and project/operation requirements.
Research and recommends innovative and possible automated approached for system administration tasks that leverage resources and provide economies of scales.
Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
Performs the data backups in Corporate Data Center and data replication at the Remote Data Center.
Develop and/or acquire software and/or hardware that will aid in the reduction of cost and improved application performance.
Interpersonal Skills:Must be able to develop and manage effective working relationships with all of our personnel and have the ability to prioritize and complete tasks accurately.
Communications:
oOral: Clear and concise communication techniques required to convey assignments, ideas, and presentations to senior management, peers and subordinates.
oWritten: Proficient writing skills required to effectively communicate internally and externally through email, letters, reports and required statistics, and system documentation, as requested.
Scheduling and Planning:Will assist with the development and execution of project plans and provide management with Information Technology recommendations. Must be available to work weekends, non-traditional hours and on an "on call" basis.
BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or combined equivalent education, work experience and skills in Computer environment with strong knowledge of software systems.
Training and Experience:
Five years' work experience with Computer Systems, specifically in the area of SAP systems development and maintenance.
Other Skills:
Knowledge of HP S/W, H/W, EMC SAN, HP OM, Data Protector backup/recovery, HP Sys Insight Manager, SAP ERP, SAP BW and SAP SOLUTION MANAGER.
Equipment Operated:
Personal computer and office software such as MS/Word, MS/Excel, MS/PowerPoint, MS/Project, HP UNIX System operations, Shell Scripts, C/C++, and SAP ABAP.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
