This is a Holmes 35mm silent movie projector. These projectors were portable and were commonly used to travel from town to town to show movies in high school gyms and town halls and the like. the projector was completely disassembled and sandblasted then painted in a deep, rich Brandywine Burgandy Metallic and Bullet Silver using PPG automotive paints. Originally these projectors were black and gold. I did this one to be a real show piece. All parts were re-chromed. I did replace the motor with a new one as the original Bodine motors used in these projectors were cast zinc housings and they fall apart with age. It was completely lubricated and greased and works perfectly although it was done to be a unique display piece. It is being offered as local pickup only but it can be shipped in two boxes if needed.
